About me

My name is April Dawn. I love yoga and I teach it because it makes my heart sing! I started my teaching journey in 2011. Taking my Hatha yoga training in Edmonton, Alberta at Yoga Within. I could not have asked for a better studio and senior teacher. Since graduating from the 200 hour program I have continued with expanding my knowledge and skills. I am now a 500 hour certified teacher and am currently working on my 1000 hour certificate. I believe that yoga is for every BODY! No matter your ailment, body type or attitude there is a style of yoga for you! I have taken my yin teachers training and continuously do workshops including: Purna Yoga, Yoga therapy, inversions, restorative yoga, anatomy, body mechanics, sustainable yoga, and asana specific workshops. I love learning about muscle groups and individual muscles. I learn within myself the movement of my body and the link to my muscles and skeletal base which allows easier mobility and pain free living. With this self improvement comes the ability to help and teach others the same skills. Our bodies are fascinating works of art and with time and commitment we can live a full happy life. I live my life like I end my classes... In gratitude.
